How To Tell When You are Ovulating

  1. Counting the Days in a Regular 28 Day Cycle

The six days leading up to and including the day you ovulate will be the most fertile. There are calculation number ones.

When you are about to ovulate, the body will make more estrogen for you and this produces some fertile mucus that will flow much like an egg does. The raw egg like substance is whitish and should enable you to know that the most fertile day has arrived.

  1. Basal Temperature Data

With a lot of people, this is regarded as one of the most accurate ways to tell when you are ovulating. Every morning when you wake up, you will need to take the body temperature and then watch for the day that it drops and then spikes sharply.

The spike is your cue that your ovulation is taking place. With data, you can pinpoint the exact day it happens.

  1. Test Kits

When you know the days are close and you want to pinpoint, this is the one that you will need to use. The test will measure the amount of Luteinizing Hormones that you have released and that is how you know. The hormone spike is 24-36 hours before you ovulate.

When Is It Supposed to Happen

This is the question that a lot of people want to know. Here is a simple answer. When you have a regular 28 day cycle, you will most likely ovulate on day 14 of that cycle. This is two weeks after you have bled for the first time in that cycle.

The egg will trigger the uterine wall to brace itself for baby and when you don’t get pregnant, that is when you get another menstrual bleed. This is why we use it to tell if you are or aren’t pregnant.

When the baby doesn’t arrive, the egg and the walls prepared will dissolve and then, you will have to bleed as the menstrual cycle continues.

The Fertile Window and How to Time It

If you are to get pregnant, you need to know when this window is open because it will make the difference between you being pregnant and you being not pregnant. In the six days leading up to and including ovulation day, you will need to have unprotected sex if the pregnancy is what you want.
